In August 2001, IBIS received official approval from the German authorities to be an "Ersatzschule der Primarstufe". This has three main advantages for the parents and children at IB
- Within our tried and tested international teaching programme, we have incorporated the requirements of the normal German primary school programme, meaning that the transfer to and from the German system is easier.
- The school receives a specific sum of money from Nordrhein-Westfalen which is used for the benefit of the pupils in the school.
