Inspection

IBIS is a recognised member of the Council of British Independent Schools in the European Communities (COBISEC), which is associated with the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) in the UK. This inspectorate recommends an inspection of schools on a six-yearly cycle. The last inspection was in May 2009. Overall ratings were very positive and, most of all, the quality of teaching standards was highlighted as being very good or outstanding.A copy of the report is available in the school office.
In the years between inspections we implement a programme of ongoing self-evaluation with an annual review of progress by an ISI inspector who looks closely at the standards of teaching and learning.
